Hit Air Equestrian join ESM

We are pleased to announce Hit Air UK have joined ESM as one of our sponsors.
Rachel Ricci ( CEO ) of Hit Air explained that the vests inflate outwards ( rather than inwards ) reducing the possibility of the rider being winded when inflation occurs. She explained that the strategic placings of the airbags allows the chest to expand and the rider to move more freely and provide optimal coverage, including the ribcage which helps protect vital organs and the lower back.

We spoke to Phoebe Locke who is one of our ESM riders who confirmed that she has worn a Hit Air vest since she started Eventing in 2014. Phoebe commented that she chose the vest because it fitted perfectly, it was stylish and lightweight and the vest gave her the confidence that if needed by inflating outwards she felt she would be more protected if a fall occurs.

Bicton Horse Trials

After a superb run of success over the last 6/7 weeks, Phoebe ended her season on a high winning the CIC1* at the Bicton Arena International Horse trials, on her new horse Rosie. Phoebe's Facebook post below gives you a real insight into the Bicton event and also her epic end to the season !!

Our photos include Phoebe receiving her prizes from Lord & Lady Clinton, with Lola getting in on the act and Phoebe warming up Bellagio, and behind the scenes, Phoebe reviewing the event with the boss, Mum, Jacky !!

Wow slightly pinching myself after a fantastic end to the season! These last 3 weeks have been amazing!!!

Finished off the season at the lovely Bicton Arena, with Benson having a final run. He performed a fab dressage of 32 followed by a great double clear. Time dropped us to 2nd in the INT !! πŸ₯ˆπŸ₯ˆ can't thank this horse enough for taking me round my first 3* making so many dreams come true !!! β€οΈβ€οΈβ€οΈ

Then I had my 3 new boys all of which I've had for 2 weeks. Zozo owned by PJA Capital showed so much class scoring a few 9s in his test but with a couple of big mistakes that let him down in the dressage but has lots of talent. He then followed up by a perfect double clear to finish on his dressage to come 18th out of 100 in the CIC1*!!

Rosie owned by David Otterwell was a superstar, 29 dressage followed by a mega double clear to take the WIN !!!! In the 6/7 year old CIC1* !!! Not bad for a 6 year old looking foward to her future πŸ₯‡πŸ₯‡πŸ₯‡πŸ˜πŸ˜

Tayto also owned by David performed a 32 double clear to finish on his dressage to come 9th out of 100 in the CIC1* !!! πŸ‘πŸ½πŸ‘πŸ½

A fantastic end to the season, I can't thank Dave, my parents, Jamie and my owners enough for a great weekend and a great season, as well as my brilliant supportive sponsors πŸŽ‰πŸŽ‰

A big thank you to Lisa White International Dressage Trainer for all her help with me over the last few weeks !

Tayto owned by David Otterwell again performed a nice test followed by a great double clear in the time to come 5th in the OIU21.

Fantastic results in Lignières, France

In what is fast becoming Phoebe's favourite event Union Fortunus (the little General) - 'Uni' outperformed many of the leading International riders at Ligniere International Horse Trials, coming 2nd in the main CCI2* Class, scoring 29 in the dressage followed by a superb double clear, which included an extremely tough XC track. This, by Phoebe's own admission "was the hardest 2* I've done". So to podium with two of the best riders in the world is an amazing achievement, and is a testament to Phoebe and her team's hard work.

On a less happy note, Ardeo Funsize - 'Twixy' decided to have a swim on the XC course, after a promising start and was unfortunately eliminated.

However, the real exciting news was that Phoebe's new horse Picador, who she only rode for the first time last Thursday, has already shown his class. With the decision to enter him into the CCI1* he went straight into the lead with a dressage score of 24, followed by an incredible double clear in the showjumping and XC. As a new pairing, Phoebe rightly allowed the horse lots of time on the XC which ultimately cost her a win - but nevertheless there are very exciting times ahead with Picador. The photos show Phoebe on the podium for the CCI2* prize giving, together with a photo of Maxime Livio (French No.1 rider), congratulating Phoebe on her win.

Dauntsey Park Horse trials

Phoebe, riding her young horse Hipp DHI, secured a great win at Dauntsey Park Horse trials, winning the BE100 class, finishing on a dressage score of 32.00 and completing a superb double clear, which included a very tough XC course set by Beenie Sturgess. With Badminton champion Jonelle Price coming second, the highly competitive event, sponsored by Knight Frank, saw over 40 International entries chasing the win. Our photo shows Phoebe collecting her winner's prizes.
